Did you send a loving text on Valentine’s Day?
I’m not 100% sure, but my gut tells me that people are sending less and less cards these days, for various reasons, and using various forms of digital media to send terms of endearment to loved ones.
Yesterday, 2.5 billion text messages and 77 million picture/animated messages were sent by Verizon Wireless customers! That is a TON of messages and that is only data from one carrier.
Overall, multi-media messages of all forms doubled from 2009 to 2010, and
more than tripled from 2008 to 2010. That is HUGE! Just think how many trees were saved in our switch from traditional forms of communication to our more technical versions.
It’s nice to get a card, but for me, I’d rather the money be spent elsewhere and a text message or virtual card does just the trick!

Call me old fashion, but I actually like to get a real card/letter. Don’t get me wrong, I love the digital kind too, but somehow they don’t seem as romantic. lol
Yes, I got and sent digital Valentine’s, as well as the real thing!
