What Do Bloggers and Bowel Movements Have in Common?
Normally, there would not be a significant correlation between bloggers and a functioning colon, but last week, both collided in Austin, TX at the Genesis Today blogger excursion.
Last week was the week that the contestants of the contest, “Genesis of a Great Idea“, were flown out to Texas to present their social media campaign to a group of bloggers chosen to judge the campaigns. I was one of the lucky ones, along with Sugar Jones, Kim Janocko and Zipporah Lubin-Sandler that were brought along for the ride, not paid to judge, to join in on gaining knowledge of Genesis Today, meet Dr. Lindsey Duncan and other members of Genesis Today, taste all of the superfruit products and live it up in a resort and spa in Texas.
It was nice to get away and spend time with and get to know online friends, but most of all, and I mean this with all of my heart, learning from and meeting Dr. Lindsey from Genesis Today was by far the most amazing and memorable thing I will take from this trip.
We spent hours learning about the company Genesis Today, about Dr. Lindsey and most importantly about the juices and how we/I can better my/our lives by drinking the superfruit, chock full of vitamins, good for you juices. And when I say, better our lives, I mean physically and mentally.
I found out that the foods we are putting into our bodies are polluting and falsely nourishing our bodies. And, these aren’t the obvious ones like Twinkies and Pepsi. These are foods that we are eating and giving our families thinking we are doing the right thing.
One way that we can get rid of the polluting foods and environment pollutants without having to give up everything and drastically change our diets is to cleanse through our bowel, our skin, our lungs and our kidneys. If we don’t cleanse our bodies, the pollutants get trapped and then make us feel ill. The good thing…our bodies tell us if there is something polluting our bodies. The bad thing… we don’t always listen to our bodies or more accurately said, we don’t know what bad symptoms are or what they mean.
Without the knowledge of the cause and effect of pollutants on our bodies, we don’t know that a rash on the stomach could mean trapped pollutants in the intestinal tract. We also don’t realize that eczema could possibly mean a toxic liver. We can’t see the inside of our bodies by looking in the mirror, so we don’t know what is going on inside until symptoms, often times in the late stages of illness, rear their ugly heads, when damage has already been done.
I found out, through symptoms I have been experiencing and a gut feeling, from Dr. Lindsey that I have a health issue that is reparable through cleansing.
I have real changes that need to take place to heal me internally which will result in healing me externally. After returning home from Austin, TX, I headed the next morning, over to Walmart to pick up 3 bottles of Genesis Today juice. I picked up a Goji, a Reservatol and a bottle of Acai. Then I found the Genesis Today New Years Cleanse and started it the next morning.
I am now on day 2 of the cleanse and feel really good. I’m hoping that the knowledge that I gained on the Genesis Today trip will help me heal my body.
Oh…and wonder what I meant when I asked, “What do bloggers and bowel movements have in common?”
Dr. Lindsey told all of us that after trying all of the Genesis Today products, we tested all of the concentrated juices as well as products that have yet to hit the shelves, that we would have a really good bowel movement in 3 days. We all panicked because 3 days put us all on a plane back home from the excursion!
The rest of our trip included each of us sharing bowel movement information with each other like we were talking to our family members. Talk about an intimate event!

I never thought I would be so excited to discuss bodily functions with a roomful of people tweeting and whrrling…
All kidding aside, though, I thought it was as remarkable as you did. I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to meet Dr. Lindsey and the whole Genesis Today team, each of whom is a great advocate for the brand. When people are that passionate about their product, it is hard not to join them.

Courtney – this was a funny experience (to be openly talking about bodily functions) but it was amazing and life changing. I did the cleanse too and was surprised that I wasn’t any more hungry than I would be on a normal day. I felt great too and plan to do it again.
Fun to get to know you and the other bloggers better. Love having blogger girlfriends!
